My moment with Dom.

My overall impression of Dom was that he is the type of man that would talk me into doing something that seemed perfectly okay  at the time and would be almost impossible to explain to the judge.

Dom and he is even prettier in person. His eyes are incredible.

When I say I had a moment with Dom, I mean a tiny moment. It was the first day and Creation Entertainment was herding us through. I expected to see a cattle prod at any moment.

This was the most important picture and it came out the worst. It is completely out of focus. The plan was to take the two bears and have Dom hold both, then send the bears and a copy of the picture to my friend Thrania in England.

I wasn't nervous about meeting Dom. I don't dislike him he just isn't one of the ones that rattle me. (Don't send me hate mail; I think he is a wonderful actor.)

The picture line was really being pushed. I gave the disc with the messages on it to Dom and explained that it was a huge amount of paper and I thought the disc was more practical. He said he thought it was a great idea. He was very enthusiastic about that. I handed him the bears and told him what I was going to do with them and he said something like, “That’s nice" and took the bears. The moment I sat down the photographer said, "Look over here lady." He took the picture immediately. I asked Dom to hug the brown bear and he did. When Dom handed the bears back to me, he broke my heart. He looked so confused; he looked at me, the camera man, then back to me. The mom in me wanted to take care of him and yell at the photographer. The people at Creation Entertainment were being jerks and Dom looked like he was overwhelmed and unsure of what was going on. He was being very polite and a lot nicer than I would have been.

When I complained to the man at Creation, after the event, about the treatment of fans and how rushed we were. He said, "We take 250 to 300 pictures and after one hour the actors get up and leave." Nothing would make me believe that one of our babies (short of an emergency) would get up and leave when people were waiting to get their picture taken. NOTHING! My son said that the actors have spoiled the fans and he is right. Our babies love us as much as we love them!

The Autograph Line

The word past down the line was the Dom wasn't supposed to make eye contact or talk to the fans and to keep the line moving. Again, he looked overwhelmed and like he was working on automatic pilot. While we were waiting, Dom was inadvertently funny. A woman came back with a picture and she looked a little ticked.

I think it was this one.

He had signed on Pippin instead of Merry. Okay, that was funny because he said earlier that people got them confused. Apparently, he does too!

We got the autograph and were whisked on through. I don't know if things loosened up later as we were in the front so we got up there in the beginning.
